The Red Cross asks that anyone who feels unwell on the day of their appointment should postpone their donation. For those who are wary of donating due to the coronavirus, the Red Cross has enhanced its sanitization process and follows social distancing rules. The staff and volunteers sanitize each station between each donation. Donors must have their temperature checked upon entry, and masks are required. Any "guests" of donors (e.g., spouse, children) who are not donating are not allowed in the room.

Donors may streamline the donation process by visiting www.redcrossblood.org/RapidPass on the day of the blood drive to complete the pre-donation reading and health history questions.
