Gomez, Lopez Ready For Run-Off in November
The rivals for the 51st Assembly District tell their supporters they are ready for the second leg of the race during the general elections.

After securing the top two spots in Tuesday's primary election for the 51st Assembly District, Candidates Jimmy Gomez and Luis Lopez are now rallying voters to continue supporting them through November.
In a message to his voters on campaign website, Gomez said that the campaign's work is far from finished.
"I am honored by the tremendous support I received throughout this campaign," said Gomez, whose candidature was endorsed by the Democratic Party. "I look forward to my continued conversations with voters as we move toward the November general election.”

"To get a new direction in Sacramento, we need to change the kind of leader we send there as our advocate," Lopez said. "Thanks to the voters, to our 1,200 individual donors, and to our hundreds of volunteers, our campaign is showing the power of community-driven leadership and providing our district exactly that opportunity."
