Silver Lake Resident Raises MFA Tuition Online
Kristin Bedford made her Kristin's List a must-read for those in the know. Now she hopes to study photography at Duke, and is raising $16,000 online.
Kristin's List was the go-to "what's up" blog for several years in our neighborhood.
Updates on the carefully curated blog about intensely local events were awaited by followers and fans.

Now Kristin's decided to make a full-time commitment to photography. She's been admitted to Duke's fabled Documentary Photography Program, in line to get an MFA in Documentary and Experimental Arts.
She wants to specialize in social justice issues.

Kristin is using IndieGoGo (online fundraising tool Kickstarter's biggest competitor) to campaign for the $16,000 she needs to attend.
As of Wednesday, she'd already raised $1,540, with 40 days left.
