12-Year-Old Boy Allegedly Robbed at Gunpoint in El Cerrito BART Station

The boy reported that a man held a gun to his back and took his wallet around 6 p.m. Friday in the El Cerrito Del Norte BART Station.

EL CERRITO, CA- A 12-year-old was robbed at gunpoint in the El Cerrito Del Norte BART station last week and his mother wants answers from BART officials, according to an ABC News report.

ABC reported Monday that the boy was heading home from visiting his cousin around 6 p.m. on Friday when a man put a gun to his back and made him walk down the stairs to an area where there are no cameras.

The boy told ABC that the man took his wallet and demanded his backpack, but he refused to give it to him.

The boy’s mom says she reported the incident to BART police and wants to know why no one noticed the robbery. BART reportedly told ABC that there have been few leads on the case.
