This could be welcome news for El Cerritans longing for a coffee mug honoring our hometown. A new, 13-ounce "Spotlight on El Cerrito" mug is available for $10, a project by the ECHS Supporters of the Theater Arts to raise funds for the drama program at El Cerrito High School. The mugs can be purchased tonight, Thursday, Sept. 27, at the school's Progress Report Night, and afterward at the Adorn &amp; Flourish shop owned by Gaucho alum Kate Peterson at 7025 Stockton Ave. Also available tonight and at Adorn &amp; Flourish will be Gauchos Coffee, which also helps the school and is roasted by school alum (and former WCCUSD teacher) Mike McLaughlin of McLaughlin Coffee in Emeryville.
