El Cerrito Police Seek Public's Help With Security Cameras
Police are looking for clear images of a sexual battery suspect.
EL CERRITO, CA — At 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, a woman was walking on Stockton Avenue near Elm Street when a man approached her and slapped her buttock and then ran off. The victim, who police said is slight and hearing-impaired, was able to describe the man as tall, with a thin to medium build, wearing a gray or white top, dark bottoms, and white shoes.
Police obtained video surveillance recordings of a man fitting that description following the woman on Stockton Avenue just before the crime.
Police are asking residents in the area of Stockton Avenue and Elm Street to view their video surveillance recordings to see if they have also captured images or video of this subject or other subjects matching the description.
