El CERRITO, CA- Following years of debate and controversy over construction and site plans, El Cerrito’s new $40 million middle school opened its doors this week for students returning from spring break, according to East Bay Times.
East Bay Times reports that Korematsu Middle School opened for a tour on March 28 to show off the new campus before students flooded the halls, and says it was worth the wait.
The former site of Castro Elementary School campus at 7125 Donal Ave. has reportedly been completely transformed, adding a variety of state-of-the-art electronics, such as projection editing, strong wireless signals in every class, and microphones for each teacher with speakers in the ceiling.
