• Black health study has slow start; concerns like infant deaths, homelessness, are known (richmondside.org) — El Cerrito is grouped with Richmond and San Pablo in a county district where nearly half of surveyed residents report poor access to health care and mental health services. Richmond officials are slowly advancing a $1.5 million Black Resiliency Project to study and address Black health inequities, even as some question whether new research is needed and local groups await funding for on-the-ground services.
