• ICE agents banned from using West Contra Costa schools, Pinole city property (mercurynews.com) — El Cerrito school sites are now covered by a new West Contra Costa Unified policy that bars ICE from using district property for immigration operations, alongside a similar move by the city of Pinole. Local leaders say the goal is to boost safety and trust for immigrant families as federal enforcement plans intensify nationwide and other Bay Area jurisdictions consider comparable restrictions.
