Six Cell Phone Antennas Proposed For Kensington On County Planners Agenda
The Contra Costa County Planning Commission will consider AT&T's applications on Tuesday night
Proposals to put a half-dozen new cell phone antennas in Kensington will be up for approval on Tuesday night.
The Contra Costa County Planning Commission is scheduled to discuss six applications by AT&T to put the new receivers in different areas of town.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the county offices at 30 Muir Road in Martinez.
The six proposed antennas are:
A receiver that would be attached to an existing 34-foot pole at 121 Windsor Ave.
An antenna that would be installed on an existing pole at 8 Sunset Drive. The pole would need to be extended from 42 feet to 52 feet high.
A receiver that would be attached to a new 47-foot pole at 248 Grizzly Peak Blvd. The existing 26-foot pole would be taken down.
An antenna that would be placed on an existing pole at 18 Highgate Road. The pole would need to be extended from 38 feet to 48 feet.
A receiver that would be added to a new 40-foot pole at 4 Stratford Road. The existing 38-foot pole would be torn down.
An antenna that would be installed on an existing pole at 110 Ardmore Road. The pole would need to be extended from 44 feet to 54 feet.
In February, AT&T brought plans for nine new cell phone antennas to the Kensington Municipal Advisory Council.
