The department will be conducting a sobriety/license checkpoint from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. that night in the southern part of the city. The exact location will be announced on Friday. The checkpoint is part of the<a href="http://www.1800duilaws.com/dui-articles/avoid_25.asp" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> Avoid the 25 campaign </a>and is funded by a federal grant.
