Medical responders attempted to stabilize McClanahan after he was discovered, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses reported seeing a male suspect running from the scene, which is near BART tracks and Lovonya DeJean Middle School.
Hill said this morning that no suspect has yet been taken into custody. Hill confirmed McClanahan was supposed to be in school Monday.
