The Week Ahead: Bay Bridge Closure, Arts Meeting, School Plan
Some of things happening this coming week in El Cerrito

The Arts and Culture Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at El Cerrito City Hall, 10890 San Pablo Ave. On the agenda is discussion of October events and the 12 Wind Sculptures project scheduled for San Pablo Avenue.
The Bay Bridge, in operation since 1936, will close for good at 8 p.m. Wednesday. The new eastern span is scheduled to open at 5 a.m. the following Tuesday. That means they'll be no trans-bay roadway from Oakland to San Francisco for five days.
West Contra Costa Unified School District officials will hold a public hearing on their 2013-2018 strategic plan at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at El Cerrito High School. Education officials want to get public input on the five-year plan to address problems and achieve goals.
