Elk Grove is a place like no other. And whether you grew up here, recently moved to the area or you’re just an occasional visitor, you know that Elk Grove has its own special traditions and history that make it so unique.
A few things to know:
- Elk Grove is also home to a number of beautiful parks, including the Elk Grove Regional Park, which spans over 120 acres and features a lake, picnic areas and hiking trails. In addition, several other parks throughout the city have amenities such as playgrounds, sports fields and dog parks.
- If you're interested in history, you might want to check out the Elk Grove Historical Society's "Stage Stop Museum," which is housed in a restored 1850s stagecoach stop. The museum features exhibits on the history of Elk Grove and the surrounding area, including artifacts and photos from the town's early days.
