The Sikh Temple Sacramento has organized an interfaith prayer vigil to be held Friday for Surinder Singh, the elderly man shot to death March 4 while out walking with a friend on E. Stockton Blvd. The event will take place at 6 p.m. at the intersection of E. Stockton Blvd and Geneva Point Drive, near where Singh was killed in what some suspect was a hate crime. A separate funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the North Sacramento Funeral Home, 725 El Camino Ave. in Sacramento.
