Did Denny's Close? Nope, Just Remodeling
Denny's owner Gulinder Gill gives Elk Grove Patch a brief idea of what to expect when the restaurant reopens Friday evening.
On Monday one of Elk Grove Patch's Facebook fans dropped us a line asking a simple question about the status of the Denny's on Elk Grove Boulevard.
"What has happened to Dennys [sic] on Elk Grove Blvd?" the reader asked.
It seemed like a simple enough question, so we looked into it.

It turns out the restaurant is doing a bit of a remodel, according to Denny's owner Gulinder Gill.
Gill explained while the restaurant remains closed, expect it to reopen Friday evening with "lots of changes inside."

Right now Gill is having all of the tables, carpets and boothes replaced, he said, along with a fresh coat of paint and new decor on the walls.
Gill will be delivering coupons to local homes in the next day or so, letting everyone know about the grand reopening celebration.
"We're completely changing our look," Gill said. "It will be totally remodeled on the inside."
