Do Elk Grove's Creeks & Parks Need Cleaning? You Can Join Saturday's Creek Clean-Up

You have the option of visiting any of the nine local clean-up sites in this article.

 

You can help clean and beautify the natural landscape of Elk Grove by joining others at this Saturday's creek clean-up. You have the option of visiting any of these nine local clean-up sites:

* Elk Grove Creek (EG Blvd and Emerald Oaks Drive)
* Elk Grove Creek (Village Tree Drive at Oak Briar Circle)
* Del Meyer Park (Elk Grove-Florin Rd.)
* Lewis Park (9615 Black Swan Drive)
* Zimbelman Park (9191 Big Horn Blvd.)
* Bartholomew Sports Park (Whitelock Parkway & Franklin High Rd.)
* Camden Lake (Camden Lake Way near Sand Badger Way)
* Ringe Circle (Bond at Crowell Drive)
* Del Webb (Whitelock Parkway, East of Bruceville Rd.)

According to the Creek Clean-Up Facebook page

Meet our site leaders at 9:00 am at any of the sites noted above. Bring gloves and wear sturdy shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. All participants must sign a hold harmless form and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Clean-up activities run from 9-11:30 am and conclude with a barbecue lunch for all volunteers at Miwok Park from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Rain or shine event. Presented in partnership with the City of Elk Grove and the California Association of Resource Conservation Districts.
