Elk Grove Kids Learn Emergency Escape Skills
The California Emergency Management Agency and Citizen Voice brought the "Safely Out" program to a local school.
Some Elk Grove students got a recent lesson that hopefully they'll never have to use: what to do in case of a disaster.
Last month John Ehrhardt Elementary School students learned about "Safely Out," a disaster evacuation program designed to encourage neighbors to help the disabled, seniors and children in case of a mass evacuation.
Citizen Voice, one of the sponsors of the event, shared the above video last week.

"Because of this project we know they're going to know what to do in case of an emergency," Elk Grove Unified Superintendent Steven Ladd says in the video.
