Mini Munchies for All!

I tried the scrumptious MiniBurger Truck for the first time Sunday—and apparently, so did the rest of Elk Grove.

It's not every day that a gourmet food truck makes a stop in Elk Grove. So when the MiniBurger Truck parked outside American Furniture Galleries Sunday afternoon, I decided to swing by and see what the hype was about.

Many other Elk Grovians seem to have had the same idea—or seen the same Twitter feed—and the parking lot was full of people ready to pay their $6 for a flight of two sliders made with local beef and produce. Even the foodies from new burger blog RoShamBurger made an appearance.

My Cowbell (bacon, pepper jack and barbecue sauce) and Ninja (pea sprouts, jalapeño, Sriracha aioli) were definitely worth the 25-minute wait. What is it about un-supersizing something that makes it suddenly cooler?

One can only hope this roving restaurant will be the first of many to grace the E.G. with their presence.
