Police to Hold Sobriety Checkpoint Saturday
The checkpoint will begin in the evening and last until the wee hours of Sunday at an undisclosed location in Elk Grove.

The Elk Grove Police Department will be cracking down on post-St. Patrick's Day revelers with a sobriety checkpoint Saturday night.
The checkpoint will last from 8:00 p.m. Saturday to 3:00 a.m. Sunday at an undisclosed location in Elk Grove.
"All too often, members of our community are senselessly injured or killed on local roadways by impaired drivers," reads a department press release. "This sobriety/driver's license checkpoint is an effort to reduce those tragedies."
