Poll: Who's Your Favorite Harry Potter Character?

We know previous polls have touched on serious, weighty topics. And they've usually been subjects specific to Elk Grove. But every once in a while an event comes along that is so momentous, so compelling, that ordinary standards of newsworthiness get tossed out the window.

We're talking, of course, about the release of the final Harry Potter movie. Gaggles of fans—including, we confess, at least a few Patch staffers—will be donning their fake scars and waiting in lines tonight and over the weekend to catch the final installment of one of the most popular film series ever. Midnight showings at the UA Laguna Village are sold out, but you can still buy tickets for Friday, or attend the Franklin Community Library's Friday afternoon.

In the meantime, in honor of this moment in wizarding history, we'd like to know:
