A state commission is investigating whether Elk Grove Vice Mayor Steve Detrick violated California political regulations.
Gary Winuk, Chief of the Enforcement Division at the Fair Political Practices Commission, said Wednesday the group is looking into a complaint against Detrick filed earlier this year.
In April, he told Patch the commission hadn't yet decided whether to open an investigation.
The Elk Grove Citizen reported the complaint against Detrick says he won two silent auction items but didn't report them on campaign disclosure documents.
