Strikes, Neighbors to Hold Follow-Up Meeting on Security

Strikes management will meet with residents again Wednesday at the bowling alley.

Management at and residents from the surrounding area will meet again Wednesday night to discuss ongoing security issues at the bowling alley.

The meeting comes several weeks after in the Strikes parking lot in what Elk Grove police called a hate crime.

In a June 14 email to neighbors of the bowling alley, Strikes owner Keith Burcham said he had added additional security patrols in the parking lot and transferred one of his Rocklin staff, a former Lincoln police chief, to the Elk Grove facility to oversee the improvements.

Meanwhile, 30-year-old Sacramento resident Joel Olivarez,  who was arrested in connection with the parking lot incident, is set to appear in court July 13, according to online court records. He has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Strikes.
