In anticipation of the temperature finally climbing and the sun chasing the clouds away, we're ditching the serious news this morning and making today's Wake-Up Call all about ways to enjoy yourself this season.

Barbecue and Blues: a winning combination. The historic Mosher Ranch will play host to this Sunday afternoon benefit for the Elk Grove Community Foundation, which awards scholarships to local students. Camping with the River Cats. Not too far afield, the Sacramento River Cats are hosting a Family Camp Out this Friday night. The $39.50 per person admission price includes box seats for the game, dinner and breakfast vouchers, and an all-ages sleepover on Raley Field, complete with musical entertainment.
