Update: Old Navy Fire Sparked by Maintenance Golf Cart
Fire broke out Thursday at the Old Navy store at 9155 West Stockton Blvd.

A fire at an Elk Grove Old Navy store Thursday morning was extinguished in 15 minutes, leaving behind "minor smoke and water damage," officials say.
The fire broke out around 9:15 in a maintenance storage room adjacent to the store, according to a Cosumnes Fire Department press release.
"Two fire sprinklers had activated over the fire keeping the fire from spreading to other areas of the building," the press release stated. "Crews extended hose lines to complete the extinguishment of the fire that had started in a golf cart used by the shopping center maintenance staff."
