What Are Inmates Learning at the Rio Cosumnes Jail South of Elk Grove?
Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center, a Sacramento County Sheriff's Department jail just outside Elk Grove, does more than lock away inmates and wait for them to serve their sentences.
There are some areas of Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center, the county jail south of Elk Grove, that look just like the jails featured on TV shows or in movies.Â
Then there's the greenhouse, the culinary classroom and the welding shop.
