Social Group for Encinitas Cyclists Rolls Out this Week

Two Wheel Thursdays is a new monthly event that's open to any locals who like to ride their bikes.

If you’re one of the many cyclists who enjoys cruising Coast Highway 101, there’s a new social group in town that’ll like be your cup of tea.

This week the Encinitas Bike and Pedestrian Committee is unveiling Two Wheel Thursdays, a monthly group bike ride that’s open to cyclists of all ages and ability levels.

The group rides will be the last Thursday of every month, and everyone will always meet Encinitas City Hall parking lot. If you’d like to check out the first ride this Thursday, show up no later than 6:45 p.m. After that, the group will ride down to Tower 13 in Cardiff, with another possible stop at Pandora’s Pizza in Leucadia. You can preview the route here, and everyone is encouraged to bring lights for safety.

According to the group’s Facebook page, the goal of Two Wheel Thursdays is to “bring local cyclists together in a casual social environment and have fun.”
