Suspected Arsonist Arrested After Sparking Brush Fire In North County: Sheriff's Office

ENCINITAS, CA — A man was arrested Wednesday after deliberately starting a brush fire in San Diego's North County, authorities said.
Lucifer Liam, 44, was arrested on suspicion of arson and booked into the Vista Detention Facility, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies from the North Coastal Sheriff's Station and firefighters from the Encinitas Fire Department responded to the brush fire around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1400 block of Leucadia Boulevard in Encinitas, according to sheriff's officials.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, officials said. No injuries were reported.
The Sheriff's Bomb/Arson Unit was investigating the incident.
