SeaWorld San Diego's Live Penguin Cam Returns For Holiday Season
Fans from around the world can get an up-close look at more than 200 penguins at the theme park.

SAN DIEGO, CA — SeaWorld San Diego's Penguin Cam has returned for the holiday season.
Starting this week, the camera will stream live from the theme park's Penguin Encounter habitat in San Diego. Fans from around the world can get an up-close look at more than 200 penguins at the park, which houses five species of penguins, including King, Adelie, Gentoo, Chinstrap and Macaroni.
Viewers will see how the park's staff cares for the animals, from feeding and cleaning to providing enrichment activities and health exams. Additionally, the park adds more than 4,000 pounds of fresh snow to the habitat daily.

"Penguins and snow are an iconic part of the holiday season, bringing back the Penguin Cam is perfect for this time of year to allow everyone the joy of watching the penguins no matter where people are located," said Eric Otjen, vice president of zoological operations. "Our mission at SeaWorld is to educate and inspire our guests to care about marine animals and our ocean. By sharing our penguin colony with the world, we can show how special these animals are, motivate people to learn more about them, and spread a little joy this holiday season."
