Jackson Estate Pulls Bid to Sell Encino Compound

Katherine Jackson's lawyer withdrew the petition in court Wednesday, TMZ reports.

Katherine Jackson, matriarch of pop music's Jackson family, is no longer seeking a court petition to sell the family compound on Hayvenhurst Avenue in Encino, according to celebrity news site TMZ.com. For TMZ's full story, click here.

Earlier in September, the Michael Jackson estate sought the court's permission to sell the longtime Jackson family compound in Encino.

In March of this year, an eviction trial was scheduled to determine if the former wife of two of Michael Jackson's brothers can remain in the family's Encino home, which is being renovated.  

In December 2010, it was reported that Katherine Jackson would move out of the Encino home so that it could be renovated.
