Jeff Conaway's Death Accidental, Autopsy Results Show
Conaway passed away in Encino in May.

Actor Jeff Conaway's death was accidental and caused by a number of conditions, including coronary artery disease and pneumonia, according to autopsy results released Friday by the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
Conaway, best known for appearing in the film Grease and the television show Taxi, died in an Encino hospital on May 27. He was 60. Conaway had been hospitalized since May 11 after being found unconscious at his home. He was in a coma for more than two weeks before his family made the decision to take him off life support.
The actor had a long history of substance abuse and his struggle with addiction played out on the 2008 edition of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew Pinsky. The autopsy report released by the coroner's office states that a "hospital urine screen (was) positive for multi-drug intake.'' Initial reports about his May 11 hospitalization indicated he may have suffered from an overdose of prescription painkillers. Pinsky said at the time the reports were untrue.
