Escondido House Fire Causes $300K In Damages

A house went up in flames Sunday afternoon.

ESCONDIDO, CA -- A fire that broke out in an Escondido home Sunday afternoon caused roughly $300,000 in damages.

The fire, which happened at a home on Hill Valley Drive, was reported around 1 p.m., said Chief David Pender with the North County Fire Protection.

The fire was contained in about 45 minutes, but 75 percent of the home was damaged, Pender said.
