Hiring Event Set In Escondido: U.S. Postal Service Announces Hiring Blitz

ESCONDIDO, CA — With the holiday season around the corner, the U.S. Postal Service is hoping to hire dozens of new employees across Southern California post offices.
The USPS aims to hire 120 employees to support the agency during the holiday shipping season in post offices from San Bernardino to San Diego and eastward to the desert communities.
The USPS has two periods of temporary elf assignments from Nov. 1 to Dec 12 and from Nov. 15 to Dec. 26. Duties include sorting and distributing mail and packages. Pay is $20.59 per hour, according to the USPS.

The agency is hosting hiring events to provide information and application assistance to interested candidates. Applications are also accepted online at usps.com/careers.
Hiring events will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Oct. 9 and 23 at the Bonita, Carlsbad and Escondido post offices. Hiring events will also take place from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Oct. 16 at the Margaret Sellers Processing Plant in San Diego and San Bernardino Processing Plant in Redlands.
