California Florist Brings Same-Day Delivery To Fair Oaks

We spoke with Will Zipperer, owner of William Paul Floral Design, to learn more about his experience as a local florist in the Fair Oaks community, as well as the shop’s relationship with the FTD family.

Patch: Tell us about the history of your flower shop in the Fair Oaks area.

Zipperer: We noticed there was a need for same-day floral delivery in the Sacramento area. We chose to open in Fair Oaks in 2020 because of the quaint community and heart of the Sacramento area.

Patch: What do you enjoy most about being part of the FTD family?

Zipperer: We enjoy the simplicity of the designs with provided recipes and containers.

Patch: What is your experience like being part of the Fair Oaks community?

Zipperer: We enjoy the many community events Fair Oaks offers and strive to showcase our work at each seasonal event.

Patch: In five words or less, how would you describe Fair Oaks?

Zipperer: Quaint. Strong sense of community.

Patch: If you had to pick one flower to represent the people of Fair Oaks, what would it be and why?

Zipperer: Definitely a sunflower, because we are bright, cheerful, and have a rustic flair.

Patch: What's been your most unforgettable moment as a florist?

Zipperer: Our most unforgettable moment is probably the day our power went out due to California rolling blackouts and we designed in the dark because we had a wedding the next day.

Patch: What's one thing most people don't know about flowers?

Zipperer: Most people don’t realize the work that goes behind providing a beautiful arrangement with the freshest flowers. We are more than just florists — we are designers, decorators, and artists.

Patch: What would you say has been the secret to William Paul Floral Design's success?

Zipperer: The secret to our success has been great customer service and attention to detail.
