• Recruiters earn high marks with college outreach (ca.gov) — Folsom residents should know that Folsom State Prison and CSP-Sacramento are key stops in a statewide CDCR college outreach program that brought over 500 students behind the walls this fall. Recruiters used on-site tours, including at local institutions, to showcase diverse correctional careers and are inviting more colleges to participate in spring 2026.
   

• BYU QB signee Ryder Lyons' brother plans to enter transfer portal, may target Provo (lawlessrepublic.com) — A former four-star tight end from Folsom is entering the NCAA transfer portal and could become a key target for BYU, where his brother is a five-star quarterback signee. Walker Lyons, a USC sophomore, has two years of eligibility left and logged 20 catches for 223 yards and two touchdowns in 2025.
