American Legion Auxiliary Unit 105 Redwood City held their annual Girls State Citizens Brunch to hear from Design Tech High's Reya Puri and Nueva School's Lucie Lin. Last June, over 400 rising seniors across CA met in Sacramento to learn about government procedures, simulate elective process through first hand exercises, and experience supportive camaraderie. Unit 105's selection process for Girls State 2023 Citizens will begin in January for Design Tech, Nueva, Sequoia and Notre Dame Belmont High Schools. Next year's leadership conference will be the 80th session since 1940 (missing only two sessions during WWII).
