Car Burglary Suspects Arrested with Help from K-9 Unit
Ryan Hargis, 18, and a juvenile suspect led police on a short chase before jumping from their moving car and fleeing on foot.

A Huntington Beach man and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested Monday after a short pursuit that ended when one of the suspects got up close and personal with K-9 Officer Benny.
According to police, Ryan Hargis, 18, and the juvenile suspect were in the area of Magnolia Street and Talbert Avenue when officer Joe Zane tried to pull them over on a traffic violation. The juvenile driver refused to yield and led Zane on a sort chase before both suspects got out of the car while it was still moving near Cameron Lane in Huntington Beach.
The car hit a telephone pole, and both suspects ran away on foot. Zane and Benny chased Hargis, who was eventually detained by the Czechoslovakian shepherd and arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and other charges.
