Fountain Valley's Honored Heroes: Tyrus Ranck

Born and raised in Fountain Valley, Ranck committed to joining the Army before he had even graduated from high school.

Before he had even graduated from high school, Tyrus Ranck of Fountain Valley had already committed to serving his country in the Army.

Ranck was born and raised in Fountain Valley, and graduated from Fountain Valley High School, where he played both football and basketball. After graduation, he headed for boot camp at Fort Lenard Wood, Mo., where he also completed his military police training.

"Tyrus has trained throughout much of the country and always seems to excel and returns with great stories to tell," said Jannie ReBrassier, Ranck's mother. "He is a very dedicated soldier and serves his country with pride. He is an amazing young man and we couldn’t be more proud of his sacrifice and accomplishments."
