LePort Montessori Students Donate More Than 50 Items to At-Risk Youth

Students held a donation drive to benefit StandUp for Kids

Students at LePort Montessori School Irvine Orchard Hills recently donated more than 50 items, including food and clothing to benefit StandUp for Kids, a nonprofit that provides basic needs, housing, mentoring support, care, and love to at-risk and homeless youth ages 12-24.

LePort Montessori School instills a sense of social responsibility at an early age by implementing opportunities for students to learn about the importance of giving back to their communities and helping others in need. Teachers work with children to help recognize and label emotions in themselves and others, while learning how they fit into their community and the larger world.
