• Local trio take wrestling titles in Cossarek Classic (latimes.com subscription) — Fountain Valley High’s boys wrestling team grabbed third place at the Cossarek Classic in Westminster, led by individual titles from juniors Vinnie Gutierrez (138) and Christian Stoeber (165). Three more Barons reached the finals, helping Fountain Valley finish ahead of several other Orange County powers in a 34-team field and signaling a strong season ahead for local wrestling fans.
