FREMONT, CA — The Fremont City Council will discuss affordable housing, the At&T wireless permit for Ohlone College and a statement on the conflict in Gaza at its council meeting Tuesday night.

A regional affordable housing bond is bring prepared for the November ballot. Michelle Starratt, Director and Jennifer Pearce, Deputy Director of the Alameda County Housing and Community Development Department, will provide background and seek Council input.

Along the same lines, council members will discuss three affordable housing projects with USA Properties Fund, Inc., The Pacific Companies and Maracor Development.

A public hearing will be held to consider an appeal of the Planning Commission's approval of a conditional use permit for a stealth wireless telecommunication facility on the Ohlone College campus.

The council will consider issuing a statement on the conflict in Gaza between Palestinians and Israel which concludes, "We urge all parties involved to engage in meaningful dialogue to halt the hostilities and address the root causes of the conflict. The meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. at the City Council Chambers, 3300 Capitol Avenue, Building A in Fremont.
