Briefcase Filled With $60K Stolen By Motorcyclist In Bay Area: Police

The victim was transporting the briefcase for their employer, police said.

FREMONT, CA — A motorcyclist and their accomplice forced someone to pull over their car May 29 in Fremont and stole a briefcase holding $60,000 in cash, police said.

On May 29, the victim reported they had been robbed while driving on Niles Canyon Road, police said. The victim said they were driving when a motorcyclists pulled up to them a motioned for them to pull over.

They complied and another suspect, who was waiting in the bushes, emerged and used a gun to smash the car window, police said.

The suspects took a briefcase full of $60,000 in cash, which the victim said they were transporting for their employer, police said.

The suspects fled on the motorcycle, police said.
