City To Add More In-Person Hours At Development Services/Permit Center
The new schedule, which includes an additional in-person day, will go into effect June 5.
FREMONT, CA — The city of Fremont is adding more in-person hours at its Development Services Center/Permit Center, located at 39550 Liberty Street, to assist the public with their permitting inquiries.
Starting the week of June 5, 2023, the new schedule, which includes an additional in-person day, will go into effect, the city said in an online news release.
The Center will be open to provide in-person services on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will be closed for lunch from noon to 1 p.m. on those days.

"The Center will no longer be open for in-person services on Mondays, and it will continue to be closed for in-person services on Fridays," the city explained. "On these days, staff will be focusing on processing online permits. Staff will continue to be available on Mondays and Fridays to assist the public by phone and email."
Online services will become available over the next few months, which will replicate the in-person services provided on the days the Center is open to the public, the city said.

"The Development Services Center/Permit Center serves as the city’s one-stop shop for helping community members obtain permits for their construction projects," the city said. "Staff members from Planning, Building and Safety, Engineering, and Revenue are available to assist visitors and answer questions."
