Critter Pops Up On Alameda County Sheriff's Car

The adorable mouse could've been a carjacking suspect, the department joked on Facebook.

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA -- An adorable critter randomly popped up on the car of an Alameda County Sheriff's deputy car on Saturday. In a Facebook post, the office joked that they believe the mouse was a carjacking suspect.

Officials saidthe "little mouse popped up the windshield of Deputy Brandon Dennington’s K9 vehicle" as he was on his way to the Golden State Warriors vs. San Antonio Spurs game.

"Further investigation revealed the suspect was likely a San Antonio Spurs fan trying to intimidate us," the Facebook post said. "Deputy Dennington was able to use de-escalation techniques and get the rabid fan off his car. Luckily, he was able to snap this photo of the elusive bandit."

Officials also said "the suspect was last seen on foot running to a hiding spot. The suspect is 4 inches tall, weighing 1 ounce and wearing a grey and white fury coat. Thankfully, the Warriors won and Deputy Dennington got to the game on time."

It's a good thing Dennington was able to scare off the mouse as it could've been a giant swamp rodent.
