Family Of 5 Displaced By Fremont House Fire

The family declined help from the Red Cross, instead turning to nearby relatives for assistance.

FREMONT, CA — A family of five was displaced by a house fire on Calypso Terrace near Decoto on Saturday morning. No injuries were reported.

Fremont firefighters responded at 11:06 a.m., with Engine 58 arriving first to find heavy fire on the exterior left side of the home, which had extended to the first and second floors.

The fire was brought under control within 20 minutes due to the aggressive efforts of firefighters, who were able to prevent the flames from spreading to neighboring homes.

The family declined assistance from the Red Cross, instead seeking help from nearby relatives.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
