Firefighters Rescue Turkey Chicks From Storm Drain: Photos

The mama turkey appeared to be in a fowl mood when they were reunited.

FREMONT, CA — Five baby turkeys were safely reunited with their mama, thanks to Fremont firefighters.

The turkeys are so tiny that they fell through the grate of a storm drain on Windmill Drive.

Firefighters removed the grate, with one climbing into the shallow vault to get the turkeys.

They were placed inside a cooler for safekeeping while the others were pulled out.
