Amend your soil for spring planting with two bags of free compost.
FREMONT, CA — Just in time for the spring and summer gardening season, Fremont will hold a free compost giveaway from 8 a.m. to noon this Saturday.
Each household is eligible for two free bags of compost, while supplies last.
Take your latest Republic Services bill to receive the compost. You may also pick up compost for your neighbors if you show their bills.
"Our quality compost is made from food scraps, yard trimmings, and food-soiled paper collected from Fremont residents and businesses. By sorting properly, we create nutrient-rich compost that enriches soil and helps plants thrive."
The giveaway is at the Fremont Recycling & Transfer Station, 41149 Boyce Rd.
