Bay Area City Announces National Night Out Event
This will be the 42nd annual national night out celebration in Fremont.
FREMONT, CA — The City, the police department and the fire department have come together to announce the annual National Night Out for Fremont.
Community members can celebrate the 42nd Annual National Night Out by organizing block or neighborhood parties in their area from 6-8 p.m. on Aug 5.
The night out is supposed to serve as a time for neighbors to get together, share food, good times and update each other on what is going on in the neighborhood.

Significantly, the National Night Out intended to start out as a way to show criminals that neighbors are on the lookout and have each other's backs.
Fremont Police, Fremont Fire, and City staff plan to visit registered parties throughout the night to share information and answer any questions.
