Fremont Named 'Happiest City In America'
The California city topped the annual list by WalletHub.

FREMONT, CA -- The city of Fremont this week was named the "Happiest City in America" in a list compiled by WalletHub. The annual list considers several factors including emotional and physical well-being, income and employment, and community and environment.
Fremont placed first overall, topping all U.S. cities, with a grade of 79 percent. It was ranked first in the community and environment category, third in the employment category, and sixth in the income category.
WalletHub researchers wrote that "location plays a hand in how bright or gloomy our days are."

"For years, researchers have studied the science of happiness and found that its key ingredients include a positive mental state, healthy body, strong social connections, job satisfaction and financial well-being," the company wrote. "However, money can only make you so happy – people who make $75,000 a year won’t get any higher satisfaction from more money."
