Victim Hospitalized Following Fremont Assault

FREMONT, CA — One person is hospitalized following an assault that happened in the area of Kato Road and Warren Avenue in Fremont at 11 a.m. Wednesday. One suspect has been taken into custody.

Police initially asked people to stay away from the area as their investigation was underway.

The suspect was taken located and taken into custody at approximately 1:00 p.m. allowing the area to reopen.

The victim's identity and an update on their condition is not immediately available.
